5 Seasonings You Need For Quarantine Cooking

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all hanging in there. As we all try to find our “new normal” I thought it would be helpful to share some of the seasonings that Drew and I have been using to cook almost everything with during quarantine.

Let’s get started!

  1. Everything But The Bagel Seasoning

This is by far one of my favorite seasonings of all time and I am so thankful for this wonderful invention that Trader Joe’s carries. Its comprised of a mixture of sesame seeds, sea salt flakes, minced garlic, dried onion, poppy seeds and maybe a few other ingredients…and it literally can go on anything. I love putting it on eggs, meat, fish, avocado toast, sweet potatoes, hummus, etc. I definitely recommend trying this seasoning if you haven’t already.

  2. Mediterranean Garlic Marinade - Scott’s Food Products

I showed this marinade on my Instagram story the other day. We have been making shrimp with this and it’s so delicious. I highly recommend. I randomly found this marinade at the market and I’m so glad I did because it’s definitely a game changer.

  3. Garlic Powder and Onion Powder

Yes, these are two separate seasonings, however, I never use one without the other. I happen to love the combination and they come in very handy when you don’t feel like crying your eyes out from slicing a real onion or potentially chopping off your finger when mincing fresh garlic.

  4. Everything but Elote

This is a new Trader Joe’s seasoning that is comprised of chili pepper, sea salt, Parmesan cheese, chipotle powder, cumin, dried cilantro etc. If you like Mexican Street Corn then I recommend this seasoning. It can also be used on popcorn.

  5. Killer Hogs Steak Rub

This is Drew’s contribution to Quarantine Cooking. He found this seasoning at the market is obsessed with it. He puts it on everything (steak, shrimp, salmon, chicken etc.). It’s a blend of salt, pepper, herbs, and spices with a kick to it.

xx
